New Decade, New Season, New Goal...

It's football time again in Norman, Oklahoma. On Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners will begin their 2010 campaign against the Aggies of Utah State. The Sooners will look to rebound from last years dismal 8-5 record. With all the rumblings on the expectations of this team, the Sooners are expected to have a much better season. A season that could possibly end with a chance to play for the BCS National Championship.

Last season was not only just disappointing to the players and coaches but to all the fans, especially the students. What are students around campus expecting of this Sooner team? Jared Schmidt a sophomore at Oklahoma gave his thoughts. "I think that we will be a lot better this year. There is no way we have the season we had last year, this year. I am so excited for the start of the season." Greyson Ackerman a sophomore at Oklahoma thought a bit differently. "Honestly, I am unsure on what we will do this season. How can you lose five games last season and be ranked in the preseason top 10. Of course I hope we can do well this season, but first they must prove to me they are contenders first."

With fans all over not knowing what to expect from this young Sooner team, anticipation is growing throughout campus, ready for Saturday night.
